Born in southwest France, surrounded by lush nature, Loumi grew up immersed in the textures of the living world. From her childhood spent amid magnificent landscapes, she has retained a sharp eye for materials and how they evolve.<\/p>\n

After studying at the \u00c9cole nationale sup\u00e9rieure des arts visuels de La Cambre in Brussels and then at the Weissensee Kunsthochschule in Berlin, she has shaped a unique artistic language in which the material reveals landscapes that everyone can make their own.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It was at the Weissensee Kunsthochschule in Berlin that Loumi Le Floc\u2019h deepened her exploration of plant-based materials. During an experiment, she discovered that aubergine peel reacts to the acidity of lemon juice by turning a vivid, flamboyant pink. This discovery became the starting point for her artistic research, which she has developed into an original body of work centred around this unexpected material.<\/p>\n

Each fragment is carefully worked and then assembled by hand to create abstract, translucent artworks that take the form of wall compositions, stained-glass works and unique installations. Through colour, light and repetition, Loumi Le Floc\u2019h creates artworks in which each element contributes to a larger whole, inviting the eye to move through the material.<\/p>\n

Through her unique expertise, Loumi Le Floc\u2019h transforms and reveals colour, bringing forth an unexpected palette ranging from violet and vivid red to deep blue and green, as well as more natural tones of ochre, beige and off-white.<\/p>\n

At the intersection of art and sustainable innovation, her work goes beyond the question of material to challenge the way we perceive our surroundings and, through this organic medium, reveal a new artistic territory.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
