Lives and works in Paris

Trained at Octave Feuillet, the last school teaching the art of plumasserie in France, Julien Vermeulen also holds a BTS in Fashion Designfrom the art school of Duperré.

Craftsman of lightness, Julien Vermeulen allows us to discover the art of feather assemblage. He allies art and craftsmanship while breathing into his creations all the requirements of the work of an artist and a designer. Alchemist to the feathertips, he is interested into their beauty as well as the operational processes : collage, cutting, dyeing, steaming… Any technique becomes a way of enhancing his material of preference.
